Welcome

Hello all and welcome to the newly revamped www.juanitawilkins.com. I’m happy to say that I’ve had a terrific year, including, but not limited to, the release of my new CD, Four Corner Town, some great concerts, and my first (of hopefully many) appearances on the Folk Festival circuit. I was honoured to be invited to play at Summerfolk in Owen Sound this past August, and it was a blast!

Some other news: I now have a manager/agent, a delightful woman named Donna Sutter of Top Drawer Music, and she is going to be keeping me busy with gigs, as well as helping develop my career. She’s all, you know business-y, and wants to do stuff like “five-year plans” and career goals and things like that. Thank goodness…

I will be updating this home page at least monthly with news and hope that all of you, loyal fans and newcomers alike, will take the time to stop by the site on a regular basis. Please feel free to drop me a line and let me know what is going on in your world as well.

I have been concentrating on developing my solo career, and I have been working with a Mississauga musician named Bill Candy, so that is keeping me pretty busy. As well, I am still playing once in a while with Nightshift, my five-piece classic rock band. I am planning on having a video to release next spring, and I will be heading back into the studio to start recording CD #3 early next year as well. I have a bunch of songs, more in the folk-rock genre that need to be recorded – will keep you updated on that as it develops.
